Water described as “hard” contains high levels of dissolved calcium and magnesium. Hard water can reduce equipment efficiency and life for industrial and commercial applications ranging from restaurants to boiler and cooling tower pretreatment. Problems associated with hard water can be minimized by using a water softener which exchanges troublesome calcium and magnesium ions with sodium which is less soluble and does not precipitate out of solution to form scale.
There are two types of water softening options available. Puretec can deliver soft water tanks to your facility on a regular schedule or install a self regenerating water softener.
Soft Water Tank Exchange Service
Puretec offers soft water tanks in various sizes and flexible configurations to meet your soft water needs. This service provides the benefits of soft water without the required investment, maintenance or salt discharge limitations of an ‘in place’ self regenerating water softener. When the soft water tanks become exhausted they are exchanged for freshly regenerated tanks by a qualified service technician at your facility. We offer same day/next day service and are able to respond 24/7 to emergencies. The advantages of soft water tank exchange service include:
