Arizona Power Release

Puretec Industrial Water is excited to announce that we have resigned two agreements with major power supply companies in Arizona: Arizona Public Service Company (APS) and Salt River Project (SRP). These renewed contracts demonstrate increased momentum for us throughout 2012.

We also have another reason to celebrate this year—APS has nominated Puretec for their 2011 Supplier of the Year award. The award recognizes outstanding performance among APS suppliers, with the criteria ranging from customer service and general performance to environmental health & safety and commitment to sustainability. Puretec is one of five nominees chosen out of 800 total suppliers.

Puretec originally obtained the contracts for both companies in 2006, and both APS and SRP renewed their deals with Puretec in January of this year. The combined total for the new five-year contracts is $5 million. Puretec will provide Ultrapure Water for the two companies by injecting water in combined cycle turbines. This creates a steam-powered generator, maximizing efficiency while running the power plants.
